About Chenay

Denver, Colorado born Chenay is an up and coming musician, model, and actress with a deep passion for entertaining. Growing up, Chenay found her love for music from her parents, having been exposed to the best of Motown and soul music. Since age 5, Chenay has been involved in the performing arts. She began her journey by taking dance classes (tap, ballet, but mostly hiphop and jazz) and continued on through to college to refresh her skills and learn new forms of dance, however singing and acting were her main passions. Chenay often put together talent shows with her sister for her family and at school, performing musical acts and skits.

Later in life, Chenay performed in show choir and theater, appearing in numerous plays and musicals. She attended Stephen's College where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (acting emphasis). Chenay is experienced in many forms of acting, including: Restoration, Shakespeare, Realism, Comedy, Greek (just to name a few). She also has experience with musical theater,  incorporating dance and singing into her love for jazz.

Chenay’s music is smooth and sultry, pulling from many genres to contribute to her eclectic style. Having recorded and performed music since 2014, Chenay found her voice by performing in front of local Denver crowds in her former band called “Mulattic”, while building a loyal fanbase. Striking out on her own in 2015, Chenay continued to develop her sound by recording multiple singles and eventually released the “Luv” EP. Chenay headlined her first show in February 2020, packing Denver’s Mile High Spirits Distillery with her fans.

Chenay continues to pursue her passions of entertaining by focusing on recording new and original songs, while modeling and seeking opportunities to act in films and beyond. She is ready for the future and the future is hers. Chenay wants to awaken the passion of others by inspiring love and allowing her fans to escape through their music in a relatable way. She is excited to expand her brand and be an example of love and compassion. Join her for the adventure of life!
